So I have taken delivery of a fine Microsoft HD 3000 Webcam. Nice quality picure, better than the original mungcam. The sound is still a bit ropey, but much superior to the logitech that belongs to my daughter.

I need to go and have coffee after all this webcammery.

Dreamharder is a personal blog and associated various projects belonging to Steve Hon AKA Mungbean Man.

It was born in 2002 as an extention to the Mungcam and was a personal blog. It was named after the album of the same name by The Waterboys. It eventually ground to a halt after 18 months and ended up as a testing ground for all manner of online stuff.

The Mungcam was born a little before dreamharder and used up about 2 minutes of my 15 minutes of fame. It appeared on several websites and my “rubber-glove-over-the-head” routine along with the random messages raised a few laughs.

A massive server failure in 2006 resulted in all that stuff being lost forever. The original Mungcam is still out there “somewhere”.

This marks the return of dreamharder. And the Mungcam.

A new image is uploaded regularly and the image refreshes via javascript-tastic technology every 5 seconds. Sometimes the webcam is offline, it no longer tells you whether it is on or off. This means you may have a long wait for a new image. I advise you to go out and do something more interesting, like watching paint dry.
