Cams and Fans

My web cam broke. Well not the cam itself, just the software running it. Something went wrong. I am running Linux as my OS and according to Sir Richard of Fisher I am a “spaxx”. My attempts at rectifying the problem not only exacerbated the problem, it also made it worse.

When the going gets tough the tough get going – me? I just found a video camera and plugged it into the capture card and jiggled with some other software until it worked. So at least I can get pics onto the website, albeit using three pieces of software to get it online.

My processor fan is doing my head in. I need a new one, or failing that, at least blow some of the fecking dust out of it. If its not raining tomorrow I shall take it outside with some compressed air and blow all the dust out of it.
