Cheshire Show
We went to the Cheshire Show in Tabley today. It was a long journey. It was a bit tedious for the first hour or so as some members of our party were dawdling and I wanted to have a look around.
I met the Hely Hansen bloke we used to stand with at Neston Market, before my business went tits up. It was really good to see him and hear how things are going. It’s even harder work for market traders now. Many are probably following his path and doing show-grounds. We wanted to, but secondhand books just don’t raise enough rent.
All things done it was a good day out and while I didn’t get the log splitter, I did get a spade.
